Slings and Pouches
I make unpadded ring slings and pouches to order and also stock sling rings in two sizes and several colours if you prefer to make your own sling.
Sling Rings
I have aluminium sling rings in two sizes (medium
and large) and five colours (black, bronze, gold, slate and silver).
Medium sized sling rings are ideal for medium weight fabric, in widths of 65-80 cm. They have an inner diameter of 6.5cm and outer diameter of 7.5cm. $8.00 per pair, free post in Australia.
Large sized sling rings are good for heavier weight fabric or two layers of lighter fabric. They have an inner diameter of 7.5cm and an outer diameter of 9 cm. If you are using a heavy weight (winter weight) or heavy nap fabric, a very wide fabric(80cm-115cm/30"-45"), or have just had difficulty adjusting your sling in the past, these would be best for you. $9.00 per pairs, free post in Australia.
Ring slings
The ring sling is my
favourite baby carrier - it is infinitely adjustable, light to carry,
easy to nurse in, flexible in carrying positions (at least 7 that I can
think of off
the top of my head), cool in hot Australian summers and I make them
in lots of fantastic fabrics! Different positions make carrying any
baby from newborn to toddler comfortable and convenient.

The fabric is 100% cotton - perfect for use any time of the year.

Pouches
A pouch is our favourite for any time we want to snuggle. It is simple to put on, easy to nurse in, very light to carry and fairly flexible for carrying positions. I have a stretch cotton pouch for summer days and a polar fleece one for cooler weather. With a well-fitting pouch sling, it is possible to carry a newborn or a big toddler - even a five year old if necessary!

Please note, pouches must fit well to be comfortable. As different fabrics have different amounts of stretch and it is not possible for me to predict how much, I will only make stretch pouch slings if you can come by for a fitting.
Fabric for Ring Slings
Any woven fabric can be used for a ring sling. I prefer 100% cotton for natural fibre comfort, but cotton poly blends are also suitable. As you are entrusting the safety of your child to the fabric, it must be strong - so loose weaves such as gauze are generally not recommended. Cotton drill and quilters cottons are very suitable for slings and come in a wonderful range of colours.
