Slings and Pouches
I make unpadded ring slings and pouches to order.
Ring slings
The ring
sling is my
favourite baby carrier - it is infinitely adjustable, light to carry,
easy to nurse in, flexible in carrying positions (at least 7 that I can
think of off
the top of my head), cool in hot Australian summers and I make them
in lots of fantastic fabrics! Different positions make carrying any
baby from newborn to toddler comfortable and convenient.
Pouches

A pouch is our favourite for any time we want to snuggle. It is simple to put on, easy to nurse in, very light to carry and fairly flexible for carrying positions. I have a stretch cotton pouch for summer days and a polar fleece one for cooler weather. With a well-fitting pouch sling, it is possible to carry a newborn or a big toddler - even a five year old if necessary!

Please note, pouches must fit well to be comfortable. As different fabrics have different amounts of stretch and it is not possible for me to predict that, I will only make pouch slings if you can come by for a fitting.
Fabric for Ring Slings
Any woven fabric can be used for a ring sling. I prefer 100% cotton for natural fibre comfort, but cotton poly blends are also suitable. As you are entrusting the safety of your child to the fabric, it much be strong - so loose weaves such as gauze are generally not recommended. Cotton drill and quilters cottons are very suitable for slings and come in a wonderful range of colours.

Sling Rings
I have recently received a new shipment of specially made aluminium and nylon sling rings in a range of colours to complement your choice of fabric.
