Hi Chunni

Congratulations on the arrival of your baby.   The potty bowl is very convenient for using with a newborn. Tuck it between your thighs and you can cue your baby to go even while nursing. My niece was still able to use her potty bowl until she was about a year and a half old.

As your daughter gets older and begins sitting on her own you can start using a little potty - there are several brands that are suitable. General consensus of opinion is to watch out for one that it close to the ground, has a small splashguard, and is single piece (so you don't have to clean splashes out of all the crevices!).

Oh, and considering your rather southerly climate, you might like to make or buy a potty cover to keep her warm bottom off the cold plastic as winter sets in.

Best wishes

Marnie
