Training Pants and OneWet Pants I make a variety of training pants - all made to measure. These pants are ideal for babies doing elimination communication or toilet learning toddlers. OneWet Pants are generally made with a soft polar fleece outer, fully enclosed waterproof layer and several layers of absorbent fabrics topped by 100% cotton flannel against the body. On request the outer can be made from recycled wool. The most popular style of OneWet Pants is the Classic. Also available are low-rise and side-snapping styles. Please click here for more comprehensive information on these pants. ......... A
rainbow of OneWet PantsBedtime Pocket Pants ![]() Bedtime Pocket Pants are cut in a similar style to the classic OneWet Pants, making them easy for a child to pull down and up again for independent pottying. The outside shell is snuggly polar fleece. The inner layer is a lightweight suedecloth to feel soft and dry against the skin . A layer of concealed PUL provides a waterproof barrier. A generous pocket opening enables you to stuff the pants with the included 3 layer hemp fleece booster and any additional absorbency required by your child. Of course these pants may also be used at any time when waterproofing is essential and immediate changing is not possible or desirable. ![]() Legwarmers Soft fleece or interlock legwarmers keep your baby's legs warm in cold temperatures and protect little knees when crawling. Elastic hidden in a soft casing at thigh and ankle prevents the leg warmers from riding up or falling down. It is simple to replace the elastic if required as your baby grows. You can choose any of the in-stock fleece or cotton interlock fabrics for leg warmers for your baby. See details on ordering in left side panel to link to these fabric lists. The cost of leg warmers is $12 each. Long Pants and Shorts cut for cloth ![]()
There is little choice in well-fitting pants and shorts for babies
wearing cloth nappies and babies wearing undies or training pants. Most
ready-to-wear styles are cut for disposible nappies. As I sew to measure, you can be assured of a great fit in long and short pants for your baby or young child. I will obtain fabric on an "as requested" basis. My local fabric store has an unsurpassed range of high quality cotton fabrics - generally used for patchwork, but superb for one-of-a-kind clothing for your child. Prices: Cost of fabric + $10 each plus postage. The cost of the fabric ranges from $5 - $20 per metre. Split crotch pants Split crotch pants are popular in cold climates for winter comfort and easy pottying for toilet learning toddlers and EC babes. Please note that there are two main types of split crotch pants - discreet and open crotch. For open crotch pants, have a look at the items available through The Potty Shop. The crotch is completely open. I make a style of split crotch pants which discreetly conceals the nether regions of the child until he or she squats to use the potty. The seam can be finished open, or left closed for you to split as you choose. The appearance of the pants are similar to those shown above until they are deliberately opened. Prices: $18 plus postage for fleece pants For other fabrics, ask me for more details. Hats To protect ourselves from the relentless Australian sun, I began making hats first for myself, and then for my daughters - one with an extra large head, and the other with an extra small head. Styles range from wide-brimmed sunhats and cute little cloches to toasty warm berets. ..............

no, that is not my daughter!!! :-) Price: depends on the fabric and style, beginning at $12 for a fleece or fleecy beret and $25 for a cotton sunhat or cloche. Slings, Pouches and Wraps After arms and breasts, I reckon the next most important thing to have with a baby (or toddler!) is a sling, pouch or wrap - or better still, one or more of each. Slings allow you to hold your baby closely while still having your hands available to do other things. This is important with a first child - and even more essential with a second, third or more baby, since the older child/children always seem to NEED your assistance while you are trying to nurse the baby... Click through to here for more information on slings and baby wearing. Cloth Nappies Cloth nappies are easy to use, easy to wash and reusable, thus saving you money and going easy on the environment.
